LLE Supervision Project
Lived–Living Experience Supervision Project
Background
The Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) is leading the Lived-Living Experience (LLE) Supervision Project on behalf of the Queensland Mental Health Commission (QMHC).
As part of this work, QLEWN has been engaged by QAMH as a Lived Experience partner to lead the co-design of the Queensland LLE Supervision Framework with peers and family carer peer workers across Queensland. The National Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Development Guidelines (2021) highlight the importance of discipline-specific supervision that safeguards Lived Experience integrity and supports peer workforce wellbeing.
Through a series of targeted consultations, we are inviting peers who provide, receive, and support supervision to shape the principles, structures, and expectations that will strengthen LLE supervision across the state. Insights from these sessions, together with the work already undertaken in Phase 1 of the LLE Supervision Project, including all insights, findings, and contributions gathered, will directly inform the development of the Framework, ensuring it reflects the values and principles of peer work, lived expertise, and peer practice wisdom in the Queensland context.
What to Expect
Each consultation session runs for 90 minutes and will be co-facilitated by QLEWN Lived Experience Consultants Robyn Priest and Donna Humphrey. They will create a space for shared discussion on specific questions that will inform the Framework.
Each session is capped at 20 participants to ensure depth of discussion. If your preferred session is full, you are encouraged to join the waitlist.
In recognition of the value of Lived Experience Expertise, participation payments will be offered in line with the Health Consumers Queensland remuneration guidelines. If you are not already being paid by your employer to attend a session as part of your role, you will be eligible to receive a $75 participation payment. Further details about participation payments will be provided upon registration.
